Ascarate Lake to be stocked with rainbow trout this winter
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Christmas is coming early for El Pasoans who love to fish.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department says it will bring 6,000 rainbow trout out to Ascarate Lake through the winter.
El Paso will get its first batch of trout on December 11, 2024.
More fish will be brought in the coming months, officials say.
