El Paso teenager arrested in carjacking turned chase
UPDATE (03/11): El Police arrested 19-year-old Khalil Joseph Duque Thursday. Police say Duque pointed a weapon at a woman at a department store and asked for her car. Officers were able to locate Duque and take him into custody.
He's charged with aggravated robbery, evading arrest or detention with a motor vehicle, and evading arrest or detention. His bonds total $255,000.
UPDATE: A source at the scene says the man arrested was a 19-year-old. The entire episode lasted about 15 minutes.
EL PASO, Texas – A carjacking in east El Paso ended Thursday with one arrest following a car chase and foot pursuit.
El Police are out at the 121000 block of Pebble Hills investigating the incident. Investigators say information is preliminary at this moment.
El Paso police say one police unit was involved in a crash.
There are no reported injuries.
