SISD Police Chief placed on administrative leave
EL PASO, Texas - Socorro Independent School District Chief of Police Jose Castorena, has been placed on administrative leave.
A district spokesperson confirmed the news to ABC-7 but did not provide a reason behind the decision.
He has been with SISD for 26 years. According to his district's bio, 10 of those years were in police services.
According to SISD's organization chart, Castorena reports directly to Superintendent Nate Carman.
Castorena is a trained K9 handler, district investigator, and truant officer.
