Crowds cheer 18th Annual El Paso Pride parade

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - Hundreds lined the streets downtown as the 18-th annual El Paso pride parade got underway Saturday morning.

This year's theme was "Born this Way" and included families, friends, and community members eager to show support of everyone in the community. There were members of the military marching down the route and band members played songs.

The parade started at East Mills Ave. and North Ochoa Street towards Campbell and Yandell.

Supporters of all ages cheered as the Grand Marshall started the parade riding in a red convertible.

"I love this, I think it's so great! Everyone gets to come out and El Paso embraces equality," said Kent Waggoner who attends the annual parade to show solidarity and to enjoy the festivities.

At the end of the parade everyone was treated to music, food, and performances at Houston Park.
