Update: The El Paso County Sheriff's Office says residents near the fire are now being evacuated.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Emergency crews are responding to a massive fire in Far East El Paso Tuesday afternoon. The smoke can be seen from miles around, according to multiple ABC-7 viewers.

The El Paso and Horizon Fire Departments are en route to put out the flames, which are burning a recycling/caftan yard, according to an EPFD spokesperson.

This is happening at Krag Street and Marvin Lane, a few blocks south of Montana Avenue.

ABC-7 has reached out to several local law enforcement departments to find out more about the severity of the blaze, whether any injuries have been reported, and when they expect to extinguish the flames.

We have a crew going to the scene. Check back for more details.
