Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southwestern Otero County until 7:45 PM

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southwestern Otero County in south-central New Mexico until 7:45 PM MDT. This warning includes Orogrande, McGregor Range Base, and the Otero Mesa.

The main hazard is radar-indicated 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-sized hail. If you live in the path of the storm, hail damage to vehicles is expected, and also expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

At 7:05 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 4 miles northwest of McGregor Range Base, moving northeast at 35 mph.
