84th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor

PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii (KVIA) - December 7 was designated National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day by Congress on August 23, 1994. It is a day to remember the 2,403 people who were killed after Pearl harbor was attacked by Japanese forces. Both service members and civilians died, including 1,178 who were injured in the attack that destroyed 188 aircraft and sunk the USS Arizona and the USS Utah.

The attack pulled the U.S. into World War II.
