ABC-7 StormTrack Weather: Windy Wednesday with light rain chance

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Waking up conditions are mostly calm. We will however experience a shift for our afternoon. Rain chances will pick up to 10-20% as wind gusts could peak at 40 MPH.

Today we woke to temps in the upper 50s Las Cruces and the low 60s El Paso. Temps will be cooler than yesterday however they will still trend above average. El Paso is expected to reach a high of 81, Las Cruces is expected to reach a high of 76.

Wind gusts are expected to be strongest between 11AM- 8PM at 40 MPH with potential for hazy conditions.

Rain chance also enter our forecast by afternoon with a 10-20% chance for showers.
