Lockdown at Canutillo High School lifted after reports of criminal activity in neighborhood

CANUTILLO, Texas (KVIA) -- A lockdown at Canutillo High School has been lifted after reports of criminal activity near the campus, the Canutillo Independent School District posted on Instagram and Facebook Wednesday. All students and staff are safe.

The lockdown lifted at 1:32 p.m. The district said police are investigating the off-campus criminal activity and those involved are in custody. There are no further details on what caused the lockdown.
