Former Las Cruces High School star Isaiah Carr commits to Denver University

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) -- Las Cruces High School star Isaiah Carr has committed to Denver University after spending a season at GCU.

The former Bulldawg posting the announcement on twitter Thursday. "Thank you GCU for allowing me to play in front of your fans and atmosphere! It’s onto another chapter with DU and I’m so thankful and grateful!"

The 7’0, 240-pound center entered the portal on May 4th after his freshman season with the Lopes which saw him play in nine games, averaging 0.9 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. Carr also got to experience going to the NCAA tournament with GCU.

With Las Cruces High School, Carr played in three different State Title games. The Bulldawgs won the 2020 Class 5A State Title.

Denver University went 15-17 in the 2022-23 season and 6-12 in conference play.
