55% of El Pasoans fully vaccinated for Covid; 1 new virus death

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The El Paso Department of Public Health reported one coronavirus-related death and 10 new cases Tuesday.

The death of a woman in her 60s brought El Paso County's pandemic death toll to 2,618.

There are 15 additional suspected Covid-19 deaths currently being investigated by the health department.

El Paso health department data shows that 55.2% of El Pasoans 12 and older are now fully vaccinated, with 69.3% having received at least one dose.

The number of known active cases now stands at 873.

There are 73 Covid-19 patients in El Paso hospitals, with 29 of those patients in intensive care units.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 136,132 confirmed virus cases in El Paso with 132,552 reported recoveries.
