Termination hearing for Uvalde police chief delayed
UVALDE, Texas --
A termination hearing for Uvalde school district police chief Pete Arredondo has been delayed once again. Arredondo was scheduled to be dismissed back on July 23rd as a result of his slow response to the the Robb Elementary school shooting.
The school system's superintendent pushed for his termination while his attorney asked for more time.
The hearing was scheduled for today but the delay was announced.
The Uvalde School District states that its board members ant to make sure that his due process rights are met. In the interim, Arredondo will remain on unpaid leave until new date is scheduled for the termination hearing.
