EL PASO, Texas -- El Paso Independent School District officials say a lockout has been lifted at the school, and reports of an incident of a subject with a gun had nothing to do with the school.

El Paso Police say the school was on lockdown due to a subject with a gun call. Reports from the area indicate there was a large police presence.

According to district officials, students are being released for the day. EPISD officials say the situation is clear and it is safe for parents to pick up their children.
