MGN

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico -- Interstate 10 through Las Cruces reopened about 7 p.m. Friday after being closed for a couple of hours due to a traffic crash.

New Mexico State Police had shut down I-10 westbound at the University Avenue exit due to the crash - and traffic was detoured off the highway at milepost 142 during the evening rush hour period.

Las Cruces police indicated ambulances were dispatched to the scene, but the number of people hurt - and the extent of any injuries - wasn't immediately known.
