ABC-7 StormTRACK Weather: Rain chances decrease in time for Labor Day Weekend

Happy Thursday! Today is another great day to open the windows up and enjoy the fresh air. We have seen some showers moving quickly across the area but they aren't too bothersome. If you get under one, they will be out of the area in a few short minutes.

Through the next several hours, our rain chances will decrease, and I don't think we will be waking up to wet roads tomorrow, although our cars may have some drizzles. For Friday, the best rain chances will be closer to the International Border in southern Hudspeth and Culberson counties. That will lead up to our Labor Day weekend, which is looking really good!

Forecast highs this weekend will be in the upper 80s which is below the seasonal average this time of year. Wooohooo! Rain chances will be limited as well- I'm thinking mountain storms and not a whole lot of activity in the lowlands. On Labor Day, expect another mid-80s day with a 20% chance of rain, but as mentioned before, not expecting much activity across EP or LC.

For the middle of next week, we could be seeing more tropical moisture that will lead to a rainy end of next week. However, forecast models are disagreeing still, so as we become more confident about the possibility of heavy rain, we will let you know. Enjoy!
