ABC-7 StormTRACK Weather: Rain expected tonight, colder tomorrow

Happy New Year everybody! We are in for an interesting start to the new year with wind, rain, snow, and colder temperatures across the Borderland. A cold front is heading our way as we speak, and will move across the region tomorrow morning between 8am-12pm. Starting with tonight, rain chances will start to increase after 11pm, and really peak at around 5am tomorrow morning. I do expect many of us to be waking up to wet conditions and slick roads for our commute tomorrow.

By midday tomorrow, many of us will experience drier, sunnier, but also cooler and windier conditions. The cold front will drop our temperatures about 10 degrees from today to tomorrow. Tomorrow's winds will be at a windy level with peak gusts up to about 35 mph. The mountains (Gila and Sacs) will see anywhere from 1-8 inches of snow.

The rest of the week we will see temps in the mid 50s, and eventually back in the 60s by the end of the week. In summary, it'll be a little cool, but mild for the first week of 2023.
