ABC-7 First Alert: Extreme heat for extended periods

Another triple-digit day today! This makes 21 for the year so far and our 20th triple in a row - the record is 23 in 1994.

Temps will continue to surge through the rest of this week. Some record highs will be threatened. Temps will range from 104-109.

There will be a slight chance for daily thunderstorms but very isolated, with a 10-20% chance.
