ABC-7 First Alert – Some storms that hit the area this evening brought heavy rain and flooding.

Heavy rain hits parts of the west side this afternoon and evening. Some areas along Mesa, just north of UTEP, and in Canutillo received between 0.75 and just over an inch of rainfall, which caused flooding on some roadways. The 2025 monsoon, so far, has been very good to those on the west side.

Storms will weaken slowly tonight, then pop again tomorrow. I do expect a decrease in storms Thursday through the weekend. Temps will rise to the mid and upper 90's later this week as some drier air works in.
