ABC-7 First Alert – Showers and storms expected again over the holiday weekend.

Showers and storms struck the Borderland Friday night with some locally heavy rain and numerous lightning strikes. Those strikes delayed several football games around town. Some areas, especially around Cattleman's Steakhouse, experienced some flooding with about 1.5" of rain. Storms will likely develop again, off and on, through the weekend. Some are likely to produce heavy rain in spots, causing some flooding concerns.

Temps will be a little cooler with the storms and clouds hanging around.
