ABC-7 First Alert: Expect widespread showers and T-storms to continue throughout the afternoon

EL PASO, TX-- Widespread showers and a few thunderstorms continue this afternoon across the majority of the area with windy conditions making outdoor temperatures feel cooler. A few locations have already seen heavy rainfall.

This is all in response to dynamic forcing and lift ahead of an upper low
currently over the AZ/NV border.

This storm system will weaken and quickly lift into CO tonight. Winds will become more westerly and bring drier air into the region Friday. This will help clear the skies, but temperatures will remain cool with highs staying below normal Friday into the start of the weekend.
