StormTRACK Weather: Windy, fire weather threat, patchy smoke

RED FLAG WARNING

Mainly sunny skies are in the forecast to start the week. Hold onto your hats, the westerly winds will begin to increase around 1:00 this afternoon. Throughout the day the winds will develop to around 20 to 25 mph.

Be careful while out and about some concerns will be blowing dust and patchy smoke due to area wildfires. The strongest winds will likely impact the east slopes of the area mountains through this evening.

The dry, windy afternoon will increase the wildfire danger therefore you should limit or postpone any outdoor burning.

The cold front moves through the region this evening around 8:00 pm at that time the wills will shift northwesterly. The borderland will remain windy through Tuesday morning.
