Borderland snow day in March
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- On Thursday, Borderland residents woke up to a "Winter Wonderland"...or at least what's considered a winter wonderland along the Border. From El Paso to Las Cruces, a dusting of snow blanketed the Borderland, making for picturesque scenes and frigid morning.
The snow was possible due to a strong cold front that moved across Wednesday morning, dropping the temperatures enough to turn any rain into snow. METAR data from El Paso International indicate light snow began a little after 8 A.M. Wednesday morning, lasting just about one hour.
