Migrants arrive at Northeast El Paso processing center

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Just hours before the lifting of Title 42, officials started to but migrants to a processing center in Northeast El Paso. The center is located on Hondo Pass.

Several busses, including some with Sun Metro, took the migrants from the border to the center.

Title 42 will expire 9:59 p.m. (MT). The lifting coincides with the expiration of the federal government's pandemic proclamation. Title 42 was first enacted at the beginning of the pandemic, when officials tried to stop the spread of COVID-19 into the country.
