10-year-old boy, woman killed in crash near Transmountain

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- A crash Sunday morning kills a child and a woman. It happened when two cars collided at Dyer and Transmountain.

Special Traffic Investigators say that one car was driving north on Dyer, approaching Transmountain, when the other car turned left onto Transmountain.

There were seven passengers in the car that turned. Four of those passengers were children, one as young as 20 months old. Six people were injured in the crash, including the drivers of the two cars.

A 51-year-old woman from Juarez and a 10-year-old boy from El Paso were killed. None of those injured or killed have been identified because police say they are still working to notify family.

Police say no charges have been filed, although the investigation continues.
