WASHINGTON (AP) — Jill Biden says “enough is enough” on the issue of children being killed by firearms. The first lady and Education Secretary Miguel Cardona brought school principals from around the country to the White House on Thursday to launch a gun safety initiative. The event promoted the safe storage of firearms so children can’t get their hands on them. Guns are the leading cause of death for American children, and most guns used in school shootings come from the shooters’ homes. The initiative was developed by the new White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention. Its director, Stefanie Feldman, says educating people about locking up guns can save lives.
