Six Blood Draw Warrants Issued For DWI Over Labor Day Weekend
EL PASO, Texas — El Paso police, in cooperation with the district attorney, issued six blood draw warrants over the Labor Day weekend in DWI enforcement efforts, police officials said Thursday.
In total, El Paso police arrested 25 people for DWI charges on Friday and Saturday of the Labor Day weekend, police said.
Fifteen were arrested Friday, and five refused to take a breath test and blood draw warrants were obtained. On Saturday, ten people were arrested for DWI and one blood draw warrant was obtained, police said.
The blood draw procedures were first used in 2006.
