El Paso Mega Church Co-Pastor Dies

El Paso mega church co-pastor, Rochelle Nieman, dies after a lengthy battle with cancer, Sunday.

Rochelle Nieman, along with husband and co-pastor, Charles Nieman, began preaching in El Paso in 1977 in a small railroad union hall to a crowd of 20 people.

Since that time, Abundant Living Faith Center has grown considerably. The church’s website claims a following of more than 23,000 local parishoners.

Rochelle Nieman was also the superintendent of Faith Christian Academy.

The University of Texas at El Paso graduate came to El Paso when she was 18-years-old. She leaves behind a husband, two children and the tens of thousands of followers to whom she ministered.
