Doa Ana Sheriff’s commission recruiting volunteers
Doa Ana county’s Special Deputy Sheriff Commission is searching for qualified people to fill volunteer positions.
To be considered for membership individuals must be 21 years or older, a U.S. Citizen, and must pass a background check. No previous law enforcement experience is required.
The Commission regularly assists the Doa Ana County Sheriff’s Office in various community outreach projects, like Neighborhood Watch, the Ident-a-Child program, and participates in programs like drug-awareness education, and Doa Ana County’s Historical Museum of Lawmen.
The mission of the Special Deputy Sheriff Commission is to serve as a liaison between the Doa Ana County Sheriff’s Office and the public in order to improve communication and facilitate interaction between the community and the sheriff’s personnel.
