UTEP Alvin Jones to miss the rest of fall camp
According to UTEP Athletics, Sophomore Alvin Jones will miss the rest of fall camp due to an injury. Coaching staff said the injury is not believed to be extremely serious, but Jones is wearing a neck brace.
The injury occurred when Jones suffered a large hit during practice. Jones is traveling back down to El Paso on Aug. 10 to further evaluate his injury.
The coaching staff also said they believe he will be ready in time for the home opener against Arkansas.
Jones ranked second on defense last season with 55 tackles and 9 tackles for loss.
