Crews find body of 15-year old boy who fell in canal
UPDATE:
After more than 12 hours of searching, the body of a teenage boy who fell into a canal in Fabens, Texas, was recovered at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said.
A spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office says four youths were playing in the canal. One of the boys, who is 12, fell into the water and that’s when the 15-year-old victim tried helping him get out.
The Sheriff’s Office says the 15-year-old lost his balance and fell into the canal while helping and was swept away by the rushing water. The 12-year-old boy was pulled out by the other two companions. The 12-year-old is in critical condition at a hospital.
The teenager’s body was found 2 miles away from where he fell in.

An El Paso Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman says deputies continue to search for a 15-year old boy who fell in a canal in Fabens, Texas.
It happened Friday around 7:30 p.m. near NE Fasset Street and Alameda Avenue.
As of Saturday morning, a sheriff’s deputies say no body has been found.
