Water Rescue team recovers body from canal
The El Paso Fire Department was called to the 1700 block of Delta Drive in South Central El Paso around 5 p.m. Friday, after construction workers discovered a man’s body in a nearby canal.
Upon arrival, firefighters were able to spot a person stuck in the mud at the canal’s edge and immediately called the Water Rescue team.
The Water Rescue team recovered the body out of the canal around 7:20 p.m.
El Paso police, the U.S. Border Patrol and the county coroner assisted in the incident.
