Update: Police identify pedestrian killed in northeast El Paso
El Paso Police have identified the pedestrian killed in northeast El Paso Saturday night.
Police say the crash happened shortly after 9:00 P.M. Saturday on the 9500 block of McCombs.
Police say a 26-year-old woman was driving north on McCombs when she struck 71-year-old Angel Chaparro. Chaparro was taken to University Medical Center where he died.
Police say Chaparro was not in a controlled intersection and was not using a crosswalk when he was struck.
It’s unclear if any charges will be filed against the driver.
