Police investigate pedestrian hit-and-run crash

El Paso Police are investigating a pedestrian hit-and-run crash.

The crash happened shortly before 8 P.M. Saturday night at the intersection of Cleveland and Clark.

Police say a 68-year old man was struck as he was crossing the street. Officials tell ABC-7 the driver was speeding and ran a stop sign, hitting the pedestrian. He was taken to UMC with life-threatening injuries.

Police say the driver fled the scene driving a faded black 1990’s sports car. If you have any information you’re asked to call police at (915) 212-4000.
