20 undocumented immigrants found inside tractor trailer in Sierra Blanca

Border Patrol agents found 20 undocumented immigrants inside a tractor trailer at the Sierra Blanca I-10 checkpoint Monday morning, a spokesperson for the federal agency’s Big Bend sector said.

The immigrants, reportedly from Mexico, El Salvador and Guatemala, were found to be in good condition, health-wise, and did not require medical attention, the spokesperson said.

Jail records identify the driver of the 18-wheeler as Irving Hernandez, a U.S. citizen. Homeland Security agents took Hernandez into custody and charged with alien smuggling.
