Hundreds walk to honor victims of crime
According to the El Paso County District Attorney’s Office, the office sees more than 27,500 victims of crime every year. The Help, Hope, Healing, Voice movement began in 2006. It allows the community to come together to honor those victims, and show others that they are not alone.
Sunday hundreds walked 10 miles to show their support. The walk started at the county courthouse and ended at the Crime Victims’ Memorial Park.
“We want to make sure that victims of crime, no matter the crime, no matter the injury, to know they are not alone,” D.A. Jaime Esparza said.
ABC-7’s Jamie Warren will have a full report on ABC-7 at 5.
