UTEP will now offer Covid-19 vaccines to the public
EL PASO, Texas – The University of Texas at El Paso announced it will make free Covid-19 vaccines available to the public on Friday and Saturday at UTEP’s vaccination clinic. Previously, the clinic has served just university students and staff.
The university said anyone interested in receiving a vaccine at UTEP this week should follow the steps below:
- Go to utep.edu/vaccineregistration as soon as possible to register for a vaccine.
- You will receive an email with a link to schedule an appointment. An appointment is required in order to receive a vaccination; no walk-ins will be accepted.
- You should retain the bar code and registration confirmation ID number you receive during the registration process for entry to the clinic. You will also need to show a photo ID.
Officials said current UTEP students and employees would be given priority registration for this week’s vaccination clinic, but they still expected to have vaccine first doses available for the community too.
UTEP's clinic so far to date has administered at least one dose of vaccine to nearly 13,500 people.
