Nearly 60% of eligible El Pasoans partially vaccinated; 1 new death

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The El Paso Department of Public Health announced one new coronavirus-related deaths and 81 new cases Friday morning.

El Paso County's pandemic death toll now stands at 2,507. There are 67 additional suspected Covid-19 deaths currently being investigated by the health department.

El Paso health department data shows that 36.5% of El Pasoans over the age of 16 are now fully vaccinated, with 58.6% having received at least one shot.

The number of known active cases now stands at 2,429, a decrease of 89 from Thursday.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 133,120 confirmed cases in El Paso with 128,055 reported recoveries.
