Teen Arrested In Accidental Shooting Death Of Chapin Student
EL PASO, Tx. – Police arrest a teen in the accidental shooting death of Chapin High student in late March.
El Paso Police Spokesman Javier Sambrano confirmed to ABC-7 that 18-year-old James Peter Bohlin was arrested Thursday, after he turned himself in to EPPD officials.
Police say Bohlin didn’t own the gun, instead he got it from a mutual friend whose father owned the gun.
Officials tell ABC-7 because Bohlin gave that gun to Aaron Sinegal, that he’s facing the charge of Unlawful Transfer of a Handgun.
According to the arrest warrant affidavit, the gun owner’s son told police Bohlin wanted it to rob drug dealers with Sinegal.
According to police on March 31st, Sinegal was returning the gun to his room when it somehow went off, killing him.
