Auction Of Properties Seized In El Paso Public Corruption Case Delayed

EL PASO, TX. – Properties seized by El Paso County Sheriff’s officials once belonging to formerNCED President Bob Jones will not be up for auction until further notice.

Robert Jones is the former president of the National Center for Employment of the Disabled. He is one subject in theFBI’s ongoing public corruption investigation. Ready-One industries, formerlyNCED is suing Jones, alleging that he defrauded the company out of some $13 million dollars.

To get some of the money back, Ready-One was supposed to collect proceeds from the auction of five of Jones’ properties. However, Jones’ attorneys appealed to block the sale. El Paso’s 210th District Court initially approved the auction, but the 8th court of appeals put a stop on any action until further notice.
