Perry Praises Giuliani, Warns GOP Women Against Clinton
EL PASO (AP) – Governor Rick Perry did his best today to rally support from Republican women for Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani.
He also tried to dissuade any potential leanings toward Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
At the Texas Federation of Republic Women convention today, Perry said — quote — “I have pondered the nightmare scenario of one nation under Hillary.”
Speaking for about 25 minutes, Perry asked the woman to support Giuliani and Senator John Cornyn, who is up for re-election in 2008. Perry says they represent core Republican values.
