Gov. Perry Appoints El Paso Judge To 448th Judicial District Court

AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry appointed Christopher Antcliff of El Paso to the 448th Judicial District Court, representing El Paso County, for a term to expire at the next general election.

According to a news release from the governor’s office, Antcliff is an attorney in private practice and formerly served as a law clerk for Judge David Briones of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, El Paso Division. He is president of the Federal Bar Association, El Paso Chapter and director of the El Paso Bar Association, the release said.

Antcliff is a member of the State Bar of Texas where he serves on the Judiciary Relations and District 17A Grievance committees. Additionally, he is a member of the American Bar Association and the Criminal Justice Act Panel Committee, Western District of Texas, El Paso Division.

Antcliff received a bachelor’s degree and law degree from Texas Tech University.
