Generous Donors Give Truckload Of Turkeys For Thanksgiving

EL PASO – Hundreds of folks will have a very Happy Thanksgiving thanks to the people behind the “Texas versus the Nation” football game.

Mayor John Cook along with Kenny Hansmire and former Dallas Cowboy Everson Walls unloaded1,000 turkeys from a truck at the Salvation Army building on Paisano Street Monday afternoon.

Among the organizations that received some of the turkeys are the Salvation Army, the Rescue Mission of El Paso, and the Region-XIX Migrant Family Program. Some of the turkeys will also become the main course for the annual dinner with the mayor.
