Pastor’s Son Indicted On Criminal Sex Charges

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) – The son of a Las Cruces pastor has been indicted on sex charges against three girls he allegedly met through the church.

A Dona Ana County jury has indicted Rico Dominic Escudero, 29, on14 counts. The charges include criminal sexual penetration and criminal sexual contact of a minor, authorities said.

Court records say the alleged incidents involve a 12-year-old girl, a 13-year-old girl and a third victim whose age is unknown.

According to a criminal complaint, Escudero offered the 12-year-old a cell phone and tickets to Disneyland if she did not talk about the alleged incidents.
