Two Men Arrested In Connection To Wal-Mart Robbery

EL PASO — El Paso police have arrested two men in connection with a robbery Monday night at a Wal-Mart location in East El Paso.
Eleazar Melendez, 18,attempted to remove anti-theft sensors from several CDs and DVDs, police said.He allegedly hid themon his person and tried to leave the store when two employees from Wal-Mart stopped him and asked him to come back inside.
At first Melendez complied, but then began to hit one of the employees, detectives said.A second employee attempted to restrain Melendez, when Ramiro Melendez, 20,approached and began hitting the two employees, police said.
Several customerscame to help the employees by restraining the suspects until police officers arrived.
No injuries were reported as a result. Both men were arrested and charged with robbery.
