Women Miners Ranked Among The Nation’s Top 25 Teams
EL PASO (AP) – TheUTEP women’s basketball team cracked the Top 25 today for the first time in the program’s 34-year history.
The No. 24 Miners made their debut in the AP national rankings after a 28-point win over Conference USA rival East Carolina -their 15th straight win.
That matchup was played in El Paso Sunday at the Don Haskins Center, and was televised on ESPN2.
The Miners (19-2) are unbeaten at home and 10-0 in conference play this season.
