Commissioners Appoint Parraz To Thomason Board
EL PASO — El Paso County Commissioners agreed to appoint a new member to the Thomason Hospital District Board.
Commissioners unanimously approved Pete Parraz, a spokesman for Texas Gas Service. Parraz saidtells Commissioner Dan Haggerty approached him about serving on the board a few weeks ago.
Parraz said he has spent 30 years in the El Paso community and cares deeply for boosting the economy. He said he has been an active memberofthe Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and will take that knowledge and experience to the board.
The new appointee says he hopes to help bring the Children’s Hospital and the Texas Tech Medical School to fruition. Parraz will replace Dr. Carlos Gutierrez on the board on April 1.
