Fugitive Wanted For Kidnapping Extradited To U.S.

LAS CRUCES — A man wanted by the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Department on a kidnapping charge was handed over to U.S. authorities on Thursday, Feb. 7.

Christopher Wade, 23, was found in Mexico andlaw enforcement officers there turned him over to members of the United States Marshals Service.

Wade was wanted on a first-degree count of kidnapping after he allegedly forceda woman at knifepoint from her residence on June 2, 2006 and taken to Juarez.

Authorities report Wade wasthe woman’s boyfriend.
