Arizona Man Arrested In Wife’s Death In N.M. Found Dead

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) – A 63-year-old Arizona man accused of killing his paralyzed wife in Las Cruces last year has been found dead.

Arizona authorities say it appears David Taub died of natural causes in his Green Valley, Arizona, home. He had been charged last October with an open count of murder and tampering with evidence in the death of his 60-year-old wife, Sherry. He was released on bond in January.

Sherry Taub was pronounced dead October 4th at a Las Cruces hospital. David Taub told state police he and his wife had stopped in Lordsburg, where he got out for a time.

He says he found his wife beaten when he returned. He then drove her to Las Cruces. A criminal complaint alleges Taub had been in Las Cruces at least four days earlier.
