Man Dies In Construction Accident At Biggs Army Airfield

FORT BLISS — A construction worker diedFriday morning when he was struck by a large concrete block, ABC 7 has learned.

The incident happened around 9:30 a.m. at a construction site at Biggs Army Airfield, Fort Bliss authorities said.

Officials have not released the person’s name, except that he was a 45-year-old male.

Fort Bliss investigators, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the C. F. Jordan Company –thevictim’s employer –have started an investigation on what caused the incident.
