Dona Ana County Planning Anti-DWI Projects

DONA ANA COUNTY, New Mexico – The Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Department will be conducting sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols thorough out the month of May in an effort to reduce DWI related crashes, injuries and deaths.

Extra enforcement is planned for Friday May 9, Thursday May 15, Friday May 23 and Saturday May 31.

All of the checkpoints and saturation patrols will be held in undisclosed locations and areas within Dona Ana County, sometime between the hours of 4 p.m.and 4 a.m.

Deputies say they will be looking for all types of violations with an emphasis on intoxicated drivers.
